This is the Test on the Houses featured in Harry Potter, it will test your knowledge of the houses of Hogward School by making you relive some significant moments from Harry's saga.
One of the most iconic sequences in the Harry Potter saga, which has become a meme generator today, is undoubtedly that of the sorting of the houses. The way it is conceived by Rowling and staged by Columbus, it really impacted perhaps more than any other scene in the viewer. When it is one's turn one stands up and puts on the talking hat which enunciates the name of the chosen lineage in a loud voice, rarely even saying why. Harry wearing the hat and praying not to end up in Slytherin because he is afraid of being alone again had a very strong legacy.
The most addressed lineages are Gryffindor and Slytherin, which are pitted against each other as the rival characters in the saga: Harry and Draco, yet each lineage regardless of students has its own history and characteristics. Instead of delving into the most discussed lineages such as those previously mentioned, better to deal with the other two, explored in the books but very little discussed in the films. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
The first of the two was founded by Tosca Hufflepuff, a sorceress of great ability in the medieval age. Her house has over the years been synonymous with pacifism and openness to all debate, always preferable to violent action in any situation. Characteristically, the students of this cohort are kind and tend to underestimate themselves, putting others above themselves.
The second, on the other hand, was founded by Priscilla Ravenclaw, a witch renowned for her beauty and wit; hers was the tiara that increased the intelligence of its wearer. The latter was stolen by Voldemort and turned into a Horcrux until it was destroyed in the last film. Its lineage stands for remarkable talent and magical-artistic abilities, moreover, students belonging to this group are the most determined to achieve their goal. Gryffindor and Slytherin are the protagonists of the film saga, however, one should not neglect the other two to get a more complete picture of the Potter mythology.
